Trauma wasn’t the end of my road; it was a holy detour.
I believe in Jesus Christ and the spiritual life that the Scriptures invite us into.I don’t have all the answers, but I know the One who does. I am a witness to redemption.Today, I walk alongside others who are still making sense of their pain, longing to find holiness in what once felt hopeless.

1981
The Fatherless Child
Born in Santa Maria, RS, Brazil. I carried layers of grief and generational trauma. My father died before I was born. What I lost in his absence kept resurfacing, revealing itself in painful outcomes that shaped my story.
Instability, silence, and the absence of safety became my early companions. Control was my shield. Rebellion, my cry.
And still, God was near—whispering life over wounds I had no words for.
It was only the beginning, but not the end.
I was NEVER ALONE.
2004
The Widow
At twenty-two, I became a young widow, left with a baby in my arms and a soul torn by grief.When my husband died by suicide, loss returned like an old enemy, wrapped in betrayal, silence, and shame. I had spent my life surviving battles I didn’t start.
There was no space to grieve, only standards I couldn’t meet.
But even there, grace found me. Jesus stayed when no one else did.
Scripture became water. His presence, a whisper beside the well.
It didn’t fix everything right away, but it gave me life.
From fear and ashes, sacred hope began to rise.
2013
The Immigrant
I left Brazil with my two children and the hope of the American Dream—longing for healing and safety. But instead of stability, I found more abandonment: divorce, financial abuse, and betrayal from those I trusted.Trauma—and all its survival responses—didn’t stop at the border. It followed me in waves.
In that season, I faced a painful truth: religion and doctrine, instead of offering compassion, often handed me cages, keeping me in places I was never meant to stay.
Still, even in those disappointments, grace remained repeating:
YOU ARE NOT ALONE.
And somehow, that was enough to keep going.
2023
The Pilgrim
I walked alone only to discover I never truly was.
I walked by myself in solitude, holistically embracing my body, my mind, and my soul with the truth that: I AM NOT ALONE. Amidst the silence of the Camino and its beautiful landscaping, buried grief surfaced.Step by step, I shed false identities shaped by fear and pain.
The Camino didn’t give me a new identity—it revealed the one God always intended me to carry.
Jesus walked with me not to “fix me”, but to resurrect every part of my self that trauma numbed.And with every step, His gentle whisper echoed:
“Talita cumi—little girl, arise.
You are loved. You are not alone.”
2024
Girl, Arise!
This is Grace.
This is Grace.
I collect miracles. I no longer strive to earn what was always mine. I walk lighter—not because life is easy, but because I’ve laid down shame and embraced the whole of me as sacred.
Nothing was wrong. Everything was meant to be. Today, I don’t just receive God’s love—I carry it, and I share it. This is the unfolding of my passion on the Way, where mercy holds space to heal, to breathe, and to rise. Not a place to go, but a space within. A girl the world called “bastard” became a daughter of God. Come and see the Man who saw everything I ever did—and still called me: His Daughter. His Bride. His People. Buen Camino!
